Can I use a TDPB address in my Impressum?

No. German law requires an Impressum to show a ladungsfähige Anschrift; an address where formal legal documents can be served in person. Our Partners aren't authorised to accept formal legal service, so a TDPB address can't serve as your Impressum address. For that you'll need an address set up specifically for legal service, or your own. Check with a German adviser if you're unsure.

A few common questions we often hear

  • No. TDPB is built for postal mail only. If you need parcel forwarding, that is a separate category and a different service is required. For a full breakdown of what TDPB handles, see how it works.

  • Platforms can suspend your listings or remove them from the EU market. Apple began removing non-compliant apps in February 2025. Etsy and other marketplaces have similar enforcement. Non-compliance means losing access to 450 million EU consumers.

  • A mail service prices the product around mail handling, with the address treated as a feature. An address service prices the product around the address itself: a base address fee with optional mail handling on top. The conceptual difference matters when your mail volume is low; the cost difference matters when it is high.

  • TDPB selects and manages every Partner directly rather than recruiting independent operators through a marketplace. That model trades raw scale for consistent quality and addresses that hold up with banks and government bodies. The network currently covers Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, France, the UK, Belgium, and Dubai (as of May 2026), with further expansion planned into Europe and beyond. See active locations for current coverage.

  • Most communication has moved to email and apps. What remains in physical mail is the residue: regulatory notices, formal verifications, official documents. The volume is lower but each piece carries more weight. The address that receives this residue is therefore more consequential, not less.

  • No, you don’t need to be open to the public every day. But your location must always be able to receive incoming post and it should usually be processed within 24 hours after delivery.

It’s no problem if there’s occasionally a small delay, but regular mail handling is essential. For example, if you’re away for a full week and no one empties the mailbox or processes the post, that won’t work.

  • Absolutely. You pick the city (or cities) that work best for you. You can even add or change locations later if your needs change.

  • All payments are processed automatically via Stripe. Once your payment method is set up, you don’t have to do anything manually.

  • Yes. A virtual mailbox provides a valid correspondence address. You can use it for receiving mail from banks, insurers, government agencies and other institutions. It is not a substitute for a registered residential address (empadronamiento) in situations where one is legally required.

  • Yes. You can use your Digital PO Box address for both personal and business post. It's ideal for client communication, invoicing, websites, and business cards.
