What happens to my Nachsendeauftrag if I switch to TDPB?

Nachsendeauftrag forwards mail from one German address to another. Once you switch your correspondence address with each institution to your TDPB address, the Nachsendeauftrag becomes redundant. You can let it expire or cancel it. The advantage of moving to TDPB is that it does not have a 24-month limit.

A few common questions we often hear

  • Let’s take an average example: If you have around 150 active customers, you can earn approximately € 630,00 per month. That would require around 7,5 hours of work per month, mostly spent scanning mail with the app.

These numbers can vary slightly depending on your location and customer activity, but it's a reliable way to generate recurring income with minimal time investment.

  • Yes, absolutely. That’s one of the main use cases. It looks more professional than using your home address.

  • TDPB is a digital-first service so your post is meant to be accessed online.
For security and efficiency reasons, physical pickup is not available at our Partner locations.

  • With traditional options like neighbours or Correos hold, you may not know until you physically check. With a digital address service like TDPB, you receive a notification when mail arrives and can view scanned contents through your online portal, typically within one to two business days.

  • Usually not for that step. Opening an account often requires proof of where you actually live, like a utility bill or council tax statement, and a correspondence address isn't proof of residence. For ongoing correspondence with a bank that already has you on file, it works well.

  • TDPB isn't strictly a virtual mailbox. It's a real correspondence address at a Partner location, with mail handling as a separate, optional layer. That structural difference shows up in pricing too. Some virtual mailbox services charge all-in subscriptions which can get expensive. TDPB charges a flat address fee (from € 7,50/month on the yearly plan, or € 15/month on the monthly plan) with scan credits on top, so you only pay for what you use.

Light users typically pay only the base fee in most months. Active mail users can add unlimited scanning (€ 7,50/month per address) or full service (€ 27,50/month per address). Always verify current rates on each provider's site before committing. See the full breakdown on our rates page.

  • It depends on the specific location. Some Anytime Mailbox addresses are classified as commercial mail-handling points in address-verification databases, which can trigger flags or rejections during automated bank checks. Always verify with your specific bank before committing to any address service. For guidance on choosing a correspondence address, see how it works.

  • Absolutely. You can start in one country (like Spain or Dubai) and add others later, all under one Digital PO Box number.

  • TDPB is a digital-first service so your post is meant to be accessed online, or forwarded.

  • This is rare but real. Most nomads have at least one country with significant ties (citizenship, primary bank, family). A TDPB address in that country is generally the cleanest fit. For genuine "stateless" nomads, the appropriate address strategy is best worked out with a qualified tax adviser and considered against the relevant national rules.
