First things first:

Before we can process any of your mail, you’ll need to tell us how we should handle it.

We never open or scan mail unless you’ve given us clear permission. So if you haven’t selected a processing option, your PO Box will remain in standby mode until you do.

  • You can change your preference anytime in your customer portal.
First things first:
Your options

Your options

1. Full scan + destroy

Your mail is opened, scanned in full colour (with OCR for easy searching), and securely stored in your portal.
The physical document is safely shredded after 14 days, giving you time to request the original if needed.

  • Recommended for most users
  • No forwarding costs
  • Fast, paper-free and secure

If we receive something that can’t be scanned (e.g. a bank card), we’ll inform you. And if you decide later that you need the original, just let us know within 14 days.

2. Full scan + forward

Your mail is scanned just like in option 1, but the physical originals are forwarded to you at your preferred frequency (every 2 weeks or monthly).

  • Ideal if you want both digital access and physical backups
  • You’ll receive a notification once your shipment has been sent, including the forwarding cost and tracking details if available
  • The shipping cost will be charged automatically to your selected payment method before dispatch.
  • Prefer predictable costs? With the Fullservice plan, forwarding is included in your monthly subscription.

Some users choose this option initially, but many of them later switch to Option 1 once they realize they rarely need the originals.

3. Envelope-only scan + forward

We scan only the front of the envelope (so you're notified what's arrived and from whom) and the full item is then forwarded unopened. Scan credits are still required because every envelope is scanned.

  • Suitable for those who never want their mail opened
  • Often chosen by legal professionals or others who require physical documents

Keep in mind: this option offers no digital insight into your post

Good to know about these options

Three things that apply to all three options:

  • A forwarding address is always required, even for Scan & Destroy. Most of the time, your forwarding address won't be used, but occasionally something arrives that simply can't be scanned (like a bank card or a magazine). In those cases, forwarding is the only way to get it to you. You can update or change your forwarding address at any time from your customer portal.
  • Every envelope is scanned, even if you choose forwarding only. When a letter arrives for you, we always scan the front of the envelope. That's how you're notified that something has arrived and from whom. Even Option 3 (forwarding without opening) includes this envelope scan, which is why scan credits are still needed.
  • You can switch between options at any time. Your preference isn't locked in. Many customers start with one option and adjust later, based on what they actually receive.

About scan quality

All scans are high-resolution, in full colour, and include OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

This means you can search your post by keyword, handy for invoices, names or addresses.

Forwarding explained

Forwarding explained

We forward mail at the frequency you choose: every 2 weeks or monthly. Items are grouped into a single shipment.

  • Shipping costs depend on the weight and destination
  • The cost is automatically charged to your selected payment method before dispatch
  • You’ll receive a notification once your shipment has been sent, including tracking details if available
  • With the Fullservice plan, forwarding costs are included in your monthly subscription.

What about advertising and flyers?

By default, we do not process addressed advertising mail, such as brochures, promotional leaflets, catalogues, or advertising newspapers. These items will either be destroyed or returned to sender with a request to remove your address from their mailing list.

⚠️ Some marketing letters are disguised as regular post. If we can’t clearly identify it as advertising, we may treat it as normal mail.

We recommend unsubscribing directly from senders to minimise unnecessary mail.
Advertising can often be found online as well, and scanning or forwarding it may lead to unnecessary costs.

We don’t read your post

Our partners handle your mail with care and discretion and they never read the content.

All scanning is automated and secure. Your privacy is at the heart of how we operate.
