Can I use this service even if I’m outside Dubai for months at a time?

Yes. Many of our users are part-time residents or travel often. You don’t need to live in Dubai full-time to keep your address active.

A few common questions we often hear

  • That’s fine. Many of our users only get a few letters per year, but still need a reliable, fixed address. If you expect very little mail, it's best to choose scan credits instead of the Unlimited plan, as that will be the most economical option for you.

  • Yes, services like The Digital PO Box provide correspondence addresses that can be used for communication with the Agencia Tributaria and other Spanish authorities. However, a virtual mailbox is not a legal domicile or fiscal residence. For NIE applications, you may need to show a residential address during the initial process, but ongoing correspondence can be directed to your TDPB address.

  • Yes, absolutely. That’s one of the main use cases. It looks more professional than using your home address.

  • With TDPB, pricing is as follows (as of May 2026):

    • Address fee: € 15/month or € 90/year
    • Pay-per-scan credits: from € 0,90 per scan
    • Unlimited scanning: € 7,50/month per address
    • Full service (scan + 2 forwardings/month): [pricing_full_service]/month per address

For most light users, only the base address fee applies in most months. For a full overview of pricing, see How it works.

  • No, you don’t need to be open to the public every day. But your location must always be able to receive incoming post and it should usually be processed within 24 hours after delivery.

It’s no problem if there’s occasionally a small delay, but regular mail handling is essential. For example, if you’re away for a full week and no one empties the mailbox or processes the post, that won’t work.

  • Sometimes, but no provider can honestly guarantee it, because each bank decides for itself based on its policies, the country, and your situation. Banks typically want a recent proof-of-address document from an independent source showing your name and address together. A real street address from a provider that verifies its customers is less likely to raise questions than an address from a large anonymous mail centre, but the decision always rests with the bank.

  • Yes. All your locations are linked to your personal PO Box number. Post from any location will appear in your app, all in one place.

  • Rare. Some postal services have offered free PO Boxes historically in areas without home delivery, but availability has shrunk over the years and the programs that remain are limited. Most countries charge an annual rental that varies by box size and location. Community programs and short-term poste-restante arrangements exist in specific cases, but none is reliable as a long-term correspondence solution. For details on the options in your country, check directly with the national postal service. For a reliable paid alternative, see our rates.

  • No. Every new customer completes an identity verification before their Digital PO Box is activated. This helps us prevent misuse, impersonation, or fraudulent activity.

Our verification process confirms that each Digital PO Box is linked to a real individual or business contact.
We do this to protect our customers, our Partners, and the integrity of the TDPB network, because trust is the foundation of everything we do.
