Can I use a TDPB address as my official fiscal or tax address?

No. A fiscal address (morada fiscal in Portugal, domicilio fiscal in Spain, with similar terms in many other countries) is the address tax authorities use for legally binding notifications. In many countries, especially for non-residents, registering one involves specific legal requirements, and often a regulated fiscal representative who takes on legal responsibility.

A TDPB address is a correspondence address, not a fiscal one. For your fiscal address, a local accountant or fiscal representative is the right solution. Your TDPB address then handles everything else: banks, insurers, invoices, subscriptions, and general correspondence.

  • Not at all. You can live anywhere in the world and still receive, view and manage your post in Spain.

  • No. In the Netherlands a TDPB address is a personal correspondence address, used under personal names. Mail addressed to a business or trading name isn’t accepted and may be returned to sender.
    A quick example: a business card that reads “Lisa Jansen” with your TDPB address works, because people write to Lisa Jansen and that mail arrives. A card that reads “Studio Blauw” with the same address doesn’t, because mail to the business name isn’t accepted.

  • The NLV typically requires accommodation proof at consulate stage, which is a rental contract, owner authorisation or comparable document for the property where you will live. A correspondence address service does not substitute for this. Always verify with your specific consulate.

  • Only you. Once your post is scanned, it’s uploaded in encrypted form and only accessible via your secure customer portal.

    While local partners handle the physical mail before scanning, they are contractually bound to follow strict privacy rules, including not reading or inspecting the contents.
