Mail service for expats in Dubai

We compared the most relevant services for nomads who are based in or connected to Europe and the Middle East. This is not a list of every provider that exists. It is a focused comparison of the ones that actually matter for your situation.
Quick verdict: If you need a privacy-certified address in Europe with transparent pricing, The Digital PO Box (TDPB) is the strongest option. If you need US coverage or package forwarding, look at Anytime Mailbox or iPostal1 instead.
What we compared and why it matters
Not every virtual mailbox works the same way. Some are marketplaces where independent operators use shared software. Others run their own partner network with consistent standards. That distinction matters more than most comparison sites will tell you.
We evaluated each service on six criteria that matter most to digital nomads:
- European coverage. Can you get an address in Spain, Germany, Portugal or France?
- Pricing transparency. Do you know the full cost before signing up, or does it depend on which location you pick?
- Privacy and security. Is your data protected by internationally recognised standards, or just by a privacy policy page?
- Address reliability. Is the address a real street address you can use for banks, insurers and official correspondence?
- Ease of setup. Can you get started online without physical paperwork or in-person verification?
- Flexibility. Does the service work if you move between countries, or is it tied to one location?
Comparison at a glance
| Service | Starting price | European locations | Privacy certification | Parcels | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Digital PO Box | EUR 9/month | Spain (10+), Germany (3+), Dubai (1) | ISO 27001 + ISO 27701 | No | Privacy, transparent pricing, European focus |
| Anytime Mailbox | From USD 5.99/month (varies by location) | Spain (4), France (3), UK (11), others | None | Yes | Largest global network, package handling |
| iPostal1 | From USD 9.99/month | Very limited in Europe | None | Yes | US-based nomads, large US network |
| ClevverMail | From EUR 29/month (virtual office) | Strong in Germany | None (SSL only) | Yes | Business registration, virtual office needs |
| RojaMail | From EUR 10/month | Spain only | None | No | Budget option for Spain-only needs |
| BPM-Lux | From EUR 5/month | 10 countries (DE, FR, ES, IT, UK, others) | None | Yes | Cheap entry point, parcel forwarding |
1. The Digital PO Box (TDPB)
Price: € 9/month or € 90/year. Scan credits from EUR 1.25 per scan (10-pack) down to EUR 0.90 per scan (100-pack). Unlimited scanning available for EUR 7.50/month per address.
What it is: An address-first service built around a curated partner network. TDPB provides real street addresses in Europe and a PO Box with location reference in Dubai. Every location is operated by a vetted local partner, not a random mail centre that signed up on a marketplace.
What makes it strong for nomads: TDPB is the only service on this list with both ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 27701 (privacy management) certification. For nomads who use their address for banking, insurance or government correspondence, that level of data protection is not a luxury. It is a practical requirement.
Pricing is completely transparent. € 9/month gets you the address. Scanning is separate and clearly tiered. There are no per-item receiving fees, no hidden storage charges, and no pricing that changes depending on which city you choose.
Where it is honest about limitations: The network is still growing. If you need an address in the US, UK or Asia, TDPB does not cover those regions yet. It also does not handle parcels, only postal mail. And as a newer service, it does not have the brand recognition of Anytime Mailbox or iPostal1.
Best for: Digital nomads who need a reliable European address, value privacy certification, and want to know exactly what they will pay.
2. Anytime Mailbox
Price: From USD 5.99/month, but actual pricing varies significantly by location. Typical European plans range from EUR 15 to EUR 36/month. A representative Bronze plan costs USD 26.99/month and includes 25 incoming items, 10 scans, and 1 forwarding per month, with additional charges for everything beyond that.
What it is: A marketplace platform. Anytime Mailbox does not operate mail centres. Independent local operators use its software and set their own prices, policies, and service levels.
What makes it strong for nomads: The sheer size of the network. With over 2,500 locations worldwide, including addresses in the US, UK, Spain, France, Portugal and the UAE, Anytime Mailbox covers more ground than any other provider on this list. It also handles packages, which can matter for nomads who order things internationally.
Where it falls short: The marketplace model means service quality is inconsistent. One location may be excellent, another may be slow or unresponsive, and Anytime Mailbox has limited control over either. Pricing is not transparent until you select a specific location, and per-item charges for scanning, forwarding and storage can add up quickly. There are no privacy or security certifications at the platform level.
Best for: Nomads who need global coverage and are willing to research individual locations carefully.
3. iPostal1
Price: From USD 9.99/month (personal plan, 30 items/month). Scanning costs USD 2.25 per envelope. Discount bundles available: USD 10 for 5 scans, USD 18 for 10, USD 30 for 20.
What it is: A network of independently operated mail centres, similar to Anytime Mailbox in structure. The vast majority of its 4,250+ locations are in the United States.
What makes it strong: If you need a US address, iPostal1 is hard to beat on coverage and pricing. The entry-level plan is affordable, pricing is more consistent across locations than Anytime Mailbox, and the platform is well-established.
Where it falls short for nomads in Europe: European coverage is very limited. If your life is centred around Spain, Germany, Portugal or France, iPostal1 has little to offer. Scanning is charged per envelope, not included. No privacy or security certifications are mentioned.
Best for: US-based digital nomads or those who specifically need a US mailing address.
Title: 4. ClevverMail
Price: Virtual office plans from EUR 29/month. Basic mailbox available with per-action fees. Pricing is layered across multiple services.
What it is: A virtual office and company formation platform. Mail handling is one feature among many, including phone numbers, company registration, bank account setup and tax services.
What makes it strong: If you need to register a company in Germany or another European country, ClevverMail can handle the full process. It has a strong presence in German cities like Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg.
Where it falls short for nomads: ClevverMail is built for businesses, not individuals. If you simply need a reliable correspondence address, the service is overkill. Pricing is complex and hard to compare directly. There are no ISO privacy certifications, and the platform is not designed around address reliability for personal use.
Best for: Nomads who need business registration or a virtual office, not just an address.
5. RojaMail
Price: From EUR 10/month. Plans include Store Only, Store + Scan, and Store + Scan + Post. Annual packages offer up to 10% discount.
What it is: A small, local virtual mailbox operator in Spain with locations in Barcelona, Malaga and a few other cities.
What makes it strong: Simple, affordable, and specifically built for nomads in Spain. The pricing is straightforward and the service is focused.
Where it falls short: Spain only. If you leave Spain, you need a different provider. RojaMail explicitly does not accept banking or financial mail, which limits its usefulness as a primary address. There are no security certifications and no multi-country support.
Best for: Nomads on a budget who only need a basic address in Spain and do not receive banking correspondence.
6. BPM-Lux
Price: From EUR 5/month for a virtual mailbox. Available in 10 countries including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Australia, Canada and the US.
What it is: A Luxembourg-based forwarding service focused on letters and parcels. BPM-Lux positions itself as a logistics solution rather than an address service.
What makes it strong: The cheapest entry price on this list, with multi-country availability and parcel handling included.
Where it falls short: BPM-Lux is more of a forwarding operation than a reliable address provider. There is limited information about security practices, no privacy certifications, and the focus is on moving items rather than providing a stable point of reference for official correspondence.
Best for: Nomads who primarily need package forwarding at a low cost.
How we evaluated these services
We focused on what matters specifically for digital nomads who live and work across European countries and the Middle East. That means European coverage, privacy standards and pricing transparency were weighted more heavily than US network size or package handling.
We did not rank services based on total number of locations, because a large network does not help if the locations you need are unreliable. Instead, we looked at whether each service provides consistent quality in the regions nomads actually use.
We also verified pricing directly from each provider's website and included real examples of what plans cost, not just "starting from" numbers that hide the actual expense.
Every service on this list has strengths. The right choice depends on where you are, what you need, and what trade-offs you are willing to accept.
