A few common questions about Do Freelancers Actually Need a Business Address?

  • Pick one fixed correspondence address and use it everywhere: invoices, website, bank, authorities. Your post arrives at that address no matter which country you're in, and you read it through your online account. It means you never have to update your details just because you changed location.

  • No. Google's guidelines don't accept PO boxes, virtual offices, or mailbox addresses at remote locations for Business Profile listings. If a local Google listing matters to your business, it needs to be at a location you actually work from.

  • That depends on the bank, and no provider can honestly promise otherwise. Banks apply their own policies, and they most often flag addresses shared by many other customers at large mail centres. Our model uses real local addresses with a limited number of customers per location, which avoids that pattern, but the decision always sits with the bank.

  • In general, yes. Invoice rules require an address where your business can be reached, and a correspondence address does that job. The exact requirements differ by country, so check the invoicing rules where you're registered before switching your paperwork over.
