- Have the contents opened and scanned, with the option to forward or destroy the originals
- Receive a scan of the envelope only, and have the items forwarded unopened
Your setting applies to all incoming post, and you can change it at any time in your portal.

We automatically discard all addressed advertising materials — like flyers, magazines or brochures — as long as they’re clearly identifiable as such. These items are not scanned, so you won’t waste scan credits on unwanted post.
Yes. You don’t need to live in Madrid or even in Spain to use this address. Your post will be scanned and uploaded securely to your digital inbox.
TDPB isn't strictly a virtual mailbox. It's a real correspondence address at a Partner location, with mail handling as a separate, optional layer. That structural difference shows up in pricing too. Some virtual mailbox services charge all-in subscriptions which can get expensive. TDPB charges a flat address fee (from € 7,50/month on the yearly plan, or € 15/month on the monthly plan) with scan credits on top, so you only pay for what you use.
Light users typically pay only the base fee in most months. Active mail users can add unlimited scanning (€ 7,50/month per address) or full service (€ 27,50/month per address). Always verify current rates on each provider's site before committing. See the full breakdown on our rates page.
They overlap, but they are sold on different things. “Virtual mailbox” usually describes the mail-handling part: scanning, forwarding, digital access. “Virtual address” describes the address itself. We lead with the address, because that is the part you use every day, whether or not any post turns up.
Yes. All your locations are linked to a single PO Box number, and all incoming post is routed to the same app. You can add or remove locations anytime.
All partner locations are carefully screened before being approved. They follow strict privacy protocols and are contractually bound to handle all post securely and discreetly.
No. A virtual address is often a reference number or database entry with no physical location behind it. A Digital PO Box, as provided by The Digital PO Box, is a real street address at an actual staffed Partner location. Most banks and government agencies accept it because it is a genuine address, not a virtual one. Always verify the specific requirements of the institution you are dealing with.
No, that's not necessary.
If you decide not to buy scan credits right away and mail does arrive, your mail will be scanned but not visible. You’ll receive a notification and see an empty PDF in your inbox, asking you to add scan credits.Possibly, depending on your specific setup. A TDPB address can work for client invoices and routine business correspondence, but Germany's Impressumspflicht has specific requirements for business address disclosure on websites and formal documents. Always verify with a tax adviser or lawyer before using a correspondence address in a regulated business context.
Yes. A virtual mailbox provides a valid correspondence address. You can use it for receiving mail from banks, insurers, government agencies and other institutions. It is not a substitute for a registered residential address (empadronamiento) in situations where one is legally required.
